As you all know, the Spring season is a very busy time of year for San Rafael. During this time of year, space becomes a premium. In order to accommodate everyone fairly and to make sure that our parishioners get all the information that they need in a timely manner, there are some rules that must apply. While many of you have been around a long time and already know them, we have had lots of new faces involved in the ministries and as such, it's very important that we get the information out again to everyone again.

First of all, the deadline for all bulletin submissions is on Mondays at 9:00 a.m. for the following Sunday's bulletin. If material is received after the deadline it will held for the following week's bulletin.

Secondly, for the sake of consistency, there is a "Bulletin Announcement form" to use when writing up your announcement. These forms can be picked up in the parish office. This will help us make sure we have all the information we need and that we have all the details taken care of. In the past we have frequently gotten announcements written on pieces of paper in all shapes and sizes, or by phone. By using this form, we will minimize the possibility of anything getting overlooked or lost. If you have an altar announcement, it can also be written on this form. . (Altar Announcements must be accompanied by a bulletin announcement and must be keep very short and concise. Your bulletin announcement will contain the details for parishioners to refer to; the altar announcement just needs to bring their attention to the event or meeting.)

Some important points to remember so that everyone can be accommodated. Please keep your announcements brief and to the point. Be sure to include a contact personšs name and telephone number in case we need to check with you on any of the information.

If you have an announcement for the bulletin, you may stop in the parish office, Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and complete a "Bulletin Announcement Form." Leave it with the parish secretary or return it by mail to the office (the mailing address is: San Rafael Parish, 17252 Bernardo Center Drive, San Diego, CA 92128). You may also fax your announcement to the office at (858)487-1498. If you have access to a computer and have e-mail, you may send it to me at bulletin@sanrafaelparish.org I will e-mail back a confirmation that it was received.

Fliers that are to be included in the parish bulletin must be scheduled in advance with either or the parish secretaries, Terry Bulat (Mon./Wed./Fri.) or Cheryl Danzl (Tues./Thurs.) in the parish office by calling (858) 487-4314.

One more important note: If you are planning a parish meeting or event and you need to have the room(s) set up in a certain manner, please make up a diagram or "schematic" and give it to the office the week before the event so that our maintenance crew will have ample time to prepare the room.
