Financial Freedom Day Event
Did you know that April is National Financial Literacy Month? In celebration of this important month, we are thrilled to announce that San Rafael Parish will be partnering with the Society for Financial Awareness (SOFA) to offer a comprehensive Financial Wellness Program to help you take charge of your financial future.
In honor of the Year of Jubilee—a time of renewal, hope, and fresh starts—we invite you to join us for the kickoff event on Saturday, April 26th, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to attend a variety of educational sessions designed to improve your financial health and provide valuable resources for building a secure future.
Whether you plan to attend one session or stay for the full day, we’ve got something for everyone. The full schedule of events will be available on the day of the program.
To help make this day as accessible as possible for families, we are pleased to offer childcare services for children aged 0-12 during the morning sessions, from 9:00 am to Noon in the Church Meeting room located off of the vestibule. This service will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we ask that you kindly RSVP in advance to ensure a spot for your little ones.
To reserve childcare for your children, please complete the RSVP form here: https://sanrafaelparish.flocknote.com/signup/206296 by April 20th. Your RSVP will help us ensure we have enough staff and resources to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all the children in attendance.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to this exciting and educational event!
San Rafael’s Legion of Mary
invites you to host the Pilgrim Mary statue
in your home for a week!
This special time of prayer and reflection offers an opportunity to deepen our faith and grow closer to Jesus through the intercession of His Mother. Legion of Mary members will deliver the statue, lead the Welcome Prayers, and return to pick it up after the Farewell Prayers.
Catholic churches remain open to all, welcoming everyone regardless of immigration status, in keeping with Jesus’ call to proclaim the Gospel. We do not inquire about immigration status but uphold the dignity of every person and ask all visitors to enter with reverence and hospitality. Our doors remain open for worship, spiritual solace, and pastoral services.
San Rafael was featured in the San Diego Union Tribune reflecting on our celebrating 50 years as a Parish. See the full article at: https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/2025/02/18/san-rafael-catholic-parish-is-celebrating-50-years-in-rancho-bernardo/

During Catholic Schools Week, we joyfully celebrate the incredible work of San Rafael’s Religious Education Department, along with all Catholic schools, especially those in our local community!
By nurturing our children's spiritual growth and deepening their love for Christ and His Church, we are empowering the next generation to become beacons of hope, compassion, and truth in the world. Let us unite in prayer and support for this vital ministry, as we work together to build a strong foundation of faith for the future!
We are currently accepting your donations of last year's blessed palms from Palm Sunday.
These will be burned to produce ashes for this year's
Ash Wednesday service.
Baskets are located in the vestibule to collect your palms.
Thank you!
On October 12, 1945, Pope Pius XII declared Our Lady of Guadalupe the "Patroness of all the Americas," recognizing the profound spiritual significance of the Virgin Mary’s appearance to the indigenous peoples of the Americas. The story of this miraculous event began in 1531, when an uneducated Mexican farmer named Juan Diego encountered a vision that would change the course of history for millions of people. This document explores the extraordinary event surrounding Our Lady of Guadalupe and the lasting impact it has had on the faithful across the Americas.
